Work Experience (6 months)

One Productions

One Productions is a video production agency, offering services in video strategy, integrated media production, video marketing, branding, print, design, and digital media. They specialize in producing suites of video and content across all media formats, ensuring consistency of communication and design across your full range of channels.

For my Work Experience module, I got the opportunity to work in One Productions for 12 weeks. They didn't have any Graphic Designer in the office and this was my role during my time with them. The artworks below are the projects I was assigned to.

Social calendar

This poster is for one of their social events they will be having from February and March 2020. Since the first social event was Table Ping Pong, instead of using a stock photo I took my own photo of the Ping Pong, using the photo as the background.

All the poster has the same background photo with One Productions logo on the top right. The heading “One Event” in the center of the poster and the dates and the event that will be taking place.

The first draft has the information in a rectangle shape table, the second only has a vertical line below the heading while the third one has both of them, showing that it is a ping pong table.

Process pipeline

One Productions had written and drawn up a diagram of the different steps they have to go through when it comes to planning and creating new projects, they called it "Process Pipeline". They want a printed and cleaner version of that instead of them having to look at the whiteboard each time.

I designed a diagram that also represents their agency, using their font, colour schemes and logo. I designed a couple of different styles for them to use, giving them a lot of different options to chose from.

Guidelines

I had to design an information poster but in a guideline style, something easy for the editors to read and follow without getting confused when they look back at it. I read over the steps they have to follow and try to shorten it down because it still looked too long and difficult to follow.

Each stage has its own colour but underneath the steps would be in detail. I added icons making the stages, I thought that was the best way to show which stage they are on instead of using numbers.

I used the same colour scheme and icons with the Guidelines because I thought it would be easy to follow. The editors even admit that was a good idea and it was easy for them to read and not get lost.

Office room

I was asked to create a floor plan poster for each office. Each room was named after a location from the film "Lord of the Rings" and the editors' computer is named after a "Pokemon".

I went with an old map background theme for all the floor so they have a certain theme like how the computer is a Pokemon in a Pokeball. I finished designing the Production Office floor and the Boardroom floor. With each of the room names, I looked at fonts that would be suitable for the name. I tried to find a font that was either similar or close enough of the named location.

Infographics

They just want me to design infographics for their Twitter and LinkedIn, they made a few in the past but want an improve design of it and make something that can catch people's eyes. Some of the information was cropped out and they just want to post this information on Twitter and LinkedIn.
